Area info
Calpe is, along with Denia, one of the main towns on the Costa Blanca North. One of the most distinctive features of Calpe and a symbol of the Costa Blanca is the Peñón de Ifach, a rocky outcrop, 332m high and overlooking the sea. Declared a national park in 1987 it is a natural reserve for many different types of birds.
The Calpe coast is dotted with excellent quality beaches and coves, which have been a favourite summer holiday destination for thousands of foreign residents for a number of years now. Tourism has transformed a fishing village into one of the main centres for residential tourism on the Costa Blanca, a fact readily confirmed by the impressive number of services and townhouses. From apartments overlooking the beach to detached villas, buyers of a property in Spain have a great deal of choice.
